‘Ruins of a rigged election’

E-mail Print
DNA MP Jayantha Kategoda said the finding of more than 300 ballot papers of 2010 Presidential election, in which votes were cast to the swan, was the “ruins of a rigged election”.

The ballot papers which belong to the Nuwara Eliya District were found near a school in Kalagedihena on Thursday.

“What is emerging are the ruins of a rigged election, it beats any rational person as to how ballot papers cast in Nuwara Eliya were found in a another corner of the island,” he said.

Kategoda went on to state that the Nittambuwa Police which were conducting inquiries into the incident, had informed him that the matter has been reported to the Elections Commissioner.(Hafeel Farisz)

When the matter is referred to the Elections Commissioner, he will in return seek the advice of the President MR.

Why Ranil? Ask MR himself! Otherwise, we could ask "Athathiya" Elections Commissioner, if he is not under pressure any more, to shed some light on this!!

Former Election Commissioner is also responsible for this. He did not have the guts to voice his opinion.
