Director of the Media Centre for National Security, Lakshman Hulugalle declined to confirm or deny reports of the website for the centre being hacked.

When the Daily Mirror asked Hulugalle as to the veracity of the reports of the website being hacked, Hulgalle said “No, if there is anything I will let you know.”

The Website remains unavailable from Thursday January 17. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Reaction Team said they were yet to receive a complaint regarding the hacking.

“We have only seen media reports to the effect but we cannot act on them. They might be having some internal mechanism to assist them, but SLCERT has not received any official notice of the matter” he said.(Hafeel Farisz)
