President Mahinda Rajapaksa will undertake a seven-day official visit to Japan in March this year and hold talks with the newly elected Japanese government, informed sources said.The visit was to have taken place in December last year but had to be postponed to March. He will be accompanied by a ministerial delegation. An agreement for further economic co-operation between the two countries will also be signed.
This will be the second official visit by the President to Japan after he took office in 2005.(KB)
