Motorists travelling towards Kaduwela ,Malabe from Colombo are advised to use the ButhgamuwaRoad while motorists travelling towards Thalawathugoda, Kottawa and Homagama are advised to use the Pagoda and EthulKotte roads from Narahenpita and Nawala Junction because of a massive traffic congestion caused by a protest near the Polduwa Roundabout and Parliament Roundabout,police said.

what ever protest may take place, the ultimate result is we have to suffer stranded hence we are stock in the road and reach home late does not make sense. please use the galle face for future protest

There is alwaya a traffic block somewhere, a heavy shower, a minor accident anything can cause traffic to congest, in Colombo and its suburbs.The traffic situation is so bad. And now demonstrations..

Only way to solve this- give parlimentarians free passes and encourage them to use public transport.
