Speaker appoints Anura Yapa as PSC head

Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa has been appointed as the head of the 11 member Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) to look into the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice, by Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa.

The PSC comprises of seven members from the government and the rest is from the opposition.

Whoever is appointed Chairman is just a figurehead, because the final judgement has already been dictated by the King himself. These are just time and money-wasting shows.
