The National Water Supply and Drainage Board informs the public that the water supply to several areas would be interrupted from 8.00 PM on Saturday (22) to 8.00 AM the following day Sunday (23) for a period of twelve hours due to the laying of new pipe lines under the Kalu Ganga Project.

The areas affected would be-: Maligawatte Road, a part of Panchikawatte Road, Elphinstone Junction to Jethawana Road Junction on Sumanatissa Mawatha, Meeraniya Street, Paradise Place, Old Moor Street, Princes Gate, M J Lafir Mawatha, Bandaranayake Mawatha, Maha Vidyala Mawatha, New Moor Street, Hussainia Street, St Sebastians Street, Messenger Street, Sanchi Arachchi Gardens, Marti’s  Lane, Oilman Street, Belmont Street, Jayantha Weerasekara Mawatha, Maligawatte Housing Complex, Maligawatte Place, Dam Street, Sangarajah Mawatha, Jumma Masjid Road, Dias Place, St Sebastians Hill and Akbar Lane.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board, whilst regretting any inconvenience caused to consumers in these areas request them to store sufficient water to meet their requirements during this period.
