Thirty one people including the driver and conductor were injured when a private bus which was travelling from Kandy to Ampara plunged down a 50-metre precipice at the Galekele Bend on the Kandy Mahiyangana Road this afternoon.

The injured were admitted to the Medamahanuwara hospital with critical injuries and four of them were transferred to Kandy Teaching Hospital for further treatment. (J.L. Jayasinghe)
