This is not the first time this has happened and I don't understand why consuming or providing alcohol in the flight is not banned??? Can you stay away from it for few hours???

It is not the alsohol, but the personality and mentality of the people is what matters. Here in Sri Lanka we accept a drunked to shout the way he wants. So the pattern continues. If there is a strict law enforcement on drunkeds, things will get better.

Wonder where the 'Sri Lankan smile' was? For a 'friendly' nation there is surely a lot of hate and jealousy in this country. Even though this is a small country there is no reason to be jealous and angry all the time. The world will "respect" your smile. Just don't try to force it on people.

Some inexperienced travellers cannot resist the availability of unlimited free liquor and lose their senses. There should be some limit on the free liquor served. We have seen on many occasions how some passengers shout and demand more and more liquor throughout the flight.

I have personally experianced SriLankans behaving this way onboard......stopping booze being served onboard would help....as the crew even does this at 5 or 6 AM with the breakfast service........

Every time I take atrip to Sri Lanka this situation unfolds, where fellows who have never drunk a thimble of Alcohol, and when given free from the Airlines cannot hold their liquor and became boisterous, In one trip of mine a chap was very boisterous and after having his meals he started pleading with the Air hostess to give him another drink and after taking it, started his antics and was a nuisance to others. At the end he started vomiting on the passengers and most of the foreigners who were their was very much disgusted and some of them were drenched in this guys vomit. Srilankan Airlines should stop serving liquor especially on Middle eastern flights.

People who are travelling to destination to destination that they have to have a enjoyable trip.
Without stopping the liquor in air craft , make a rule that the traveler can consumed one or two beer .and should air holster not should be issue more than two beer.or if not make another option as a beer section .

Alcohol should be served on flights, but not for Sri Lankans. I always avoid flying on Sri Lankan airlines mainly due to this reason.

I travel on Sri Lankan at least twice a year. Have also used other airlines. Sri Lankan is the best. Their standards are very high. I have noticed this phenomenon of drunk passengers only on the flights arriving home from the Middle East.

Not only for passengers. Alcohol is bad for anyone. It even causes politicians to fall from hotel balconies and others to forget that they were playing with a gun which went off killing an enemy..

passengers out of Dubai to any detinations can have any amount of alcohol consumed before the flight in a couple of restaurants at the transit?duty free areas. Also you can buy the alcohol from Duty free and drink as much you can before go on board. Then during the flight you can consume from the same you purchased. Don't blame the cabin crew or the air line. This is all about the labor class who cannot manage a couple of drinks. Don't blame srilankans as a whole. i flew from Madras to Colombo and the two passengers next to me on board doesn't know how to eat or drink. They threw all thier sambar plate bought on board on me. They finished a bottle of Old Monk Rum as well as thier food brought on board. there are air marshals on board in all flights and they should have been handle the matter.

People who say alcohol should be banned on flights are idiots. What's next babies? cos they cry?!! the simplest solution is that the flight attendants have the say of how much alcohol can be served, if they feel a person is having too much cut him off. If he gets loud and violent "detain" him?!?!?! There are enough of male flight attendants. They have the right ! for the safety of all passengers..

If smoking has been prohibited in all flights, why not ban alcohol also? If the former is unhealthy, why the ill effects of the latter has been ignored ?
