Mangala to go to courts over raid

UNP MP Mangala Samaraweera today said he would file a fundamental rights petition against the raid on Sri Lanka X news. Mr. Samaraweera said he would file the petition this week together with nine others who were arrested and later released on bail.

The UNP MP said there was no law in the country under which the registrations of websites were made compulsory. He therefore said Sri Lanka X news which was the official UNP website would not be registered under any circumstances. (Yohan Perera)

Not only Mangala but lot of people still have faith in the judiciary of SL if it functions as an independent entity without influence from external forces.
