Parliamentarian found guilty

The Kalutara Magistrate ordered a Jaffna district female parliamentarian to pay a government fee of Rs. 2500 as she was found guilty for keeping and driving an unregistered vehicle, the Police Media unit said.

The police said that in December last year; she had scolded a group of traffic police officers who stopped her vehicle in Kalutara, for stopping her vehicle. However, the police filed a case for keeping and driving an unregistered vehicle.
