We will be there : Vijitha Herath

E-mailPrint
DNA Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath speaking to Daily Mirror online said that the protest which was to be held today will go ahead despite the efforts by the government to disrupt it. "We are on the way to the court complex, and we will go ahead with our protest against the illegal detention of General Fonseka today," he said.

When asked by Daily Mirror online if they would join the UNP parliamentarians protesting in front of the Supreme Courts Herath said that all have gathered for a common cause. "We have all gathered here for a common cause and there is no division as such, we will see how things work out during the rest of the day," he said. He also said the bomb scare yesterday would have dissuaded some supporters from attending the protest. "The planted hand grenades as well as the court order the police tried to obtain in order to prevent the protest may have a negative impact on the crowd," he said. ( Hafeel Farisz)
