E-mail Print

Road workers in Matale have stumbled upon a suspicious parcel that was found to contain two powerful bombs, whilst clearing earth for water pipes leading to a school in the area.

The two bombs that had each weighed 10 kg, were found inside a 20 litre plastic bucket buried in the earth in the vicinity of the Sirmavo Bandaranayke Model School.

Matale police are conducting investigations. (RR)
