The International Relations Office organised the Opening Ceremony of the INNOTAL Talent Development and Co-Creation Lab under the patronage of Denis Chaibi, the Ambassador of European Union Delegation to Sri Lanka held on November 20 at the International Relations Office premises, University of Peradeniya.
The objective of this event was to declare open the Talent Development and Co-Creation Lab established under the European Union Erasmus+ Project “Integrating Talent Development into Ecosystems of Challenge-Driven and Responsible Innovation in Higher Education (INNOTAL).
INNOTAL Talent Development and Co-Creation Lab is the first ever lab of this kind established in a Sri Lankan University. It is proposed by the INNOTAL Erasmus+ project for promoting employability of graduates through talent development and innovation.
This lab will provide opportunities for students to improve their learning experience through practice-based methodologies and co-curricular activities and also to involve students in live innovation and research activities in collaboration with external stakeholders.
Mr. Denis Chaibi, the Ambassador of European Union Delegation to Sri Lanka & Maldives, Prof. S.H.P.P. Karunaratne, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Peradeniya, Prof. Shameen Jinadasa, Director, International Relations Office, Prof. Nimal Dharmasena, Project Manager, INNOTAL and Prof. R.D. Yapa, Director, Business Linkage, Innovation, Incubation and Technology Transfer Office (BLII-TTO) along with many distinguished guests including Deans of Faculties, Directors of Postgraduate institutes graced the prestigious occasion on 20th November 2020.
