Daily Mail, 25 January 2019 - The Queen highlighted the need for respect and seeking out common ground in an address that will be seen as a veiled reference to the bitterness over Brexit.

Using barely coded language in a speech to her local Women’s Institute in Norfolk, she said she preferred ‘respecting different points of view’.
As Head of State, Her Majesty has to remain politically neutral, but her remarks – made to mark the centenary of Sandringham WI – come weeks after she used her Christmas message to the nation to preach a similar message of unity.

She said: ‘Every generation faces fresh challenges and opportunities. As we look for new answers in the modern age, I for one prefer the tried and tested recipes, like speaking well of each other and respecting different points of view, coming together to seek out the common ground, and never losing sight of the bigger picture.’

During her visit, the Queen captained the winning team in a live round of the BBC1 quiz show Pointless – one of her favourite programmes – because Sandringham WI was also hosting a talk by its presenter, Alexander Armstrong.
