Father remanded for incest

A man who was taken into custody for raping his daughter was remanded by the Badulla magistrate until the 10th of May. The father had allegedly raped his 18 year old daughter on the 7th and 8th of February this year and was later taken into custody by the Police.He was produced before the Badulla magistrate yesterday.

These type of inhuman activities are on the rising. The need of bringing prostitution under some legal legitimacy is essential. Though it'll not 100% mitigate barbaric activities, however it'll reduce these unfortunate incidents significantly.

Man is an animal, he is programmed for procreation, this is so in the animal world. He married a woman to be his sole mate and to provide his needs. I agree that he has done the most shameful and the most horrible crime and should pay dearly, I ask why his wife was not there to provide for his needs unless she is deceased she should be ashamed of herself too.
To this young girl I say as a father, I am sorry for you, but hold your head up high it is not your fault. I also hope that society will treat you with respect.
