Rao visits IDPs

Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao visited the Internally Displaced People (IDP) in Vavuniya this morning and looked into their welfare.

The Foreign Secretary, who arrived in Sri Lanak yesterday on a short visit, flew to the Wanni security forces headquarters today and traveled by land to the IDP camps.

She visited the Chetikulam Menik Farm IDP camp and later headed for a meeting with the Vavuniya Government Agent.

The Foreign Secretary is scheduled to inspect de-mining programs in the north before heading for Jaffna. (Daily Mirror online)

There is too much of intervention from India. Thought we are a sovereign state where nobody is allowed to poke their fingers into our internal affairs??
