The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) takes great pride in announcing the approach of Marketers Summit 2016. The event will be held on October 20 at Water’s Edge, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature five renowned international speakers.

SLIM invites all aspiring marketers to be present at this one-of-a-kind event, as some of the best practices in the marketing world are explained, the biggest case studies are shared and new marketing trends are introduced. Based on the core message, ‘Exclusively for marketers… We believe everyone is a marketer’, the programme consists of five prominent topics, which have proved to be vital in the development of the marketing industry.

The first speaker, MediaCom Beyond Advertising Managing Director Norman Wagner, will address the gathering on the importance and use of branding, under the topic ‘What every marketer should know about content marketing’, while the second address will be based on the topic, ‘The winning formula of digital marketing’ and will be delivered by Best Marketing International CEO Hando Sinisalu.
Speaker number three will be none other than the UK’s Institute of Direct & Digital Marketing Founding Member and Fellow Ian Ramsden, who comes with over 44 years worth of experience in the marketing industry. Ramsden will be sharing his views and experience on the topic of CRM (‘Emotional Royalty through CRM’).

The fourth speech will be delivered by UK, Europe Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority Sales and Marketing Sector Vice President Jean-Marc Flambert. It will be based on the inspiring topic, ‘A look into the world of branding through the eyes of three islands’. The day’s programme will come to an end following the address on modern trade (retail marketing), delivered by ‘Are You Anegg’ author and Penetgraph Corporate Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd Founder K. Vijay Kishore.

As the national institute of marketing in Sri Lanka, SLIM has always been in the forefront when it comes to encouraging and inspiring development among the marketing fraternity in the country. The Marketers Summit of 2016 is but one of the many ventures made by SLIM to ensure a successful future for the marketing industry of Sri Lanka.
