A village in the Kalutara District has come under scrutiny since yesterday after 3 patients infected with COVID-19 found from the village on Thursday were isolated and sent to hospital, Police said.
They said the decision was taken to prevent the spread of the disease as the infected persons had stayed in the village for several days and moved with the villagers after contracting the virus.
“Three more members from the village suspected to have contracted the virus have been isolated,” they said adding that all vehicles used by the infected persons would be taken into custody together with those who gave them shelter.
