The UNF-led alliance will reform Sri Lanka completely if its candidate wins the presidential election and then wins general election securing a sufficient majority, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said.
Mr. Wickremesinghe who was answering questions posed by some journalists at the Uthayan office on Wednesday said a future UNF led alliance would bring constitutional, social and economic reforms if it secures power in future elections.
He was responding to the question as to whether a future UNF led government would continue constitutional reforms. “It is the people and Parliament which has the final say on constitutional reforms,” Mr. Wickremeisnghe added.
He also said all parties who have voiced their opinions on constitutional reforms have agreed on the devolution of power but the aim should be devolving power without dividing the nation.
