The move to transfer MP Rajitha Senaratne to the Prison Hospital was suspended yesterday.
Sources said that the Prisons Chief Medical Officer who visited Rajitha Senaratne at the Lanka Hospital on Saturday had reportedly recommended the transfer of Dr Senaratne to the Prisons Hospital.
He was admitted to the Lanka Hospital on December 26. The CID arrested Dr Senaratne on Friday after recording a statement at the Hospital with regard to the ‘white van’ press conference.
Dr Senaratne was remanded till December 30.
