The Department of Government Printing which was under the purview of the Ministry of Defence, was yesterday brought under the purview of the Ministry of Lands and Parliamentary reforms.
The department confirmed that it had issued the relevant gazette notice.
Comenting on the Printing Department being placed under the Ministry of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms by the President, Minister Gayantha Karunatillke said yesterday it was an important move.
He said it was important because the department which was under his purview for several months has been returned to a UNP Minister.
