A female worker (32) serving at a tourist hotel in Ahungalla, where earlier a suspected Corona Virus affected Chinese woman had stayed and presently under treatment at the IDH hospital, had been admitted to the Balapitiya Base Hospital after she had complained of fever and body pains yesterday.
The woman with these complications had been admitted to the Balapitiya hospital around 4.30 p.m. but later transferred to the Karapitiya General Hospital. A spokesperson at the hospital had revealed that steps would be taken to dispatch her to the Colombo IDH hospital. In the meantime the Southern Province Director of Health Services Dr. Chandima Sirithunga said that all hotels and guest houses where the Chinese woman had stayed are now being subjected to a special inspection and Karapitiya Hospital is kept ready for any s
