Motorists have been advised to display their name and contact telephone number on the windscreen so as to easily identify the vehicles, the Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said yesterday.
He said the Police had received several telephone calls about unidentified vehicles parked on roadsides.
SP Gunasekera said the telephone number and the name would help the Police to identify the real owner of the vehicle without wasting valuable time at a time such as this. He requested motorists to avoid parking their vehicles on the roadsides unnecessarily and kept unattended for a long time.
