Roshan Ranawana launches website

opular film star Roshan Ranawana who has proved his prowess as an actor, dancer, model and singer launched his official website at the Ceylon Continental Hotel in Colombo amidst a distinguished gathering.



The official website – www.roshanranawanaonline.com - was officially launched by his grandfather Mr. R. M. P. Ranawana who is a retired police SP, while special addresses were made by veteran actor Ravindra Randeniya and seasoned lyricist Nilar N. Cassim.


Bubbly Nirosha Perera presented the event, which had some popular personalities among the guests. Among them were Screen Queen and UPFA parliamentarian Malani Fonseka, UNP Parliamentarian Rosy Senanayake, former NFC Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa, senior stars Sriyani Amarasena, Sabeetha Perera, Lucky Dias and others including Pooja Umashanker’s mother Sandhya Umashanker.  

Roshan Ranawana’s elegant outfit was sponsored by Mr. Lakshman Guruge of Pettah Tailors and Men’s Corner, Dalugama, Kelaniya.

Sinhala cinema’s most popular romantic hero who played some significant lead roles in popular hit movies like Hiripoda Wessa, Asai Mang Piyambanna, Tharaka Mal, Dancing Star, Feel My Love, Rosa Kele, Suwanda Denuna Jeewithe, Challenges, Mahindagamanaya and others including yet-to-be released ‘Super Six’.

The significant milestone coincided with Roshan’s tenth anniversary in modelling and five years in movies.
