Prabath Samarasooriya did Sri Lanka proud by successfully showcasing two sets of collections ‘Expect the unexpected’ inspired by Sri Lankan eclectic culture and ‘Jassana’ inspired by the Jessana area in Sri Lanka. Using strong elements in this collection such as bright and bold colours and prints, Prabath concentrated on a creative cut and simple yet dramatic silhouettes. Commenting on the collection Prabath said “I just want to depict all my Sri Lankan collections which use local fabrics, which makes it very unique. Enjoying immense success in Hyderabad, Prabath certainly made an impression on the Indian market; so much so that he had a sellout show.
