Electric Peacock Festival: a brand new concept event in Sri Lanka

Headlining the 2011 line up is BRIT and Grammy Award winningFelix B of Basement Jaxx, Chicane, DJ Nihal of BBC Radio 1 fame, Tim from offshore live and Asvajit. This stellar group of acts are promising the most exciting and unique event that 2011 has had to offer Sri Lanka.

Expect the unexpected state the team behind the Electric Peacock Festival. For the second year running, the Electric Peacock is looking to push boundaries in music and ambience.

“It’s about bringing down great acts and creating the most amazing venue,” states Tasha Marikkar, co-founder and director of the Electric Peacock Festival, “leaving anyone that enters the festival with a feelings of pure euphoria! Feeling like you can let loose and just be you”

In the true essence of collaboration, the Electric Peacock team have created a number of great partnerships to take the festival to the next level. Continuing their creative collaborations with the largest integrated advertising agency Grant Group and ‘Youth cultural partners’ Academy of Design.

“We have had some great support from our Sponsors this year, including the Sri Lanka Tourist Promotions Bureau, Dialog, Carlton Sports Network, KISS FM, Daily Mirror, dailymirror.lk, Sunday Times and Reddot tours. They have given us some great advice and are helping us to run a unique and jaw dropping show this year! It will be unlike anything you’ve seen in Sri Lanka before,” says Leah Bazalgette, Co-Founder and Director, Electric Peacock Festival.

As with the previous year, the Sunshine Charity will be the official charity partner of the festival.
