‘Eluga Tamil’ demonstration in Jaffna

The demonstration ‘Eluga Tamil’ (Let Tamils Rise!) organised by the Tamil People’s Council (TPC) led by Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran commenced in Jaffna today. All the shops in Jaffna were seen closed while Private Bus Owners Association in Jaffna also participated in the demonstration which brought the bus service to a standstill. Pix by Romesh Madushanka
