Could DM organize a petition to make crimes against women and children (rape, domestic violence, marital rape, child abuse, sexual harassment) non-bailable offences? perhaps with suggestion on how to curb it? Viewers can sign them and share that link with others.

There are more cameramen than protesting women. This is a shame on the part of women in this country. When malala you suf was shot in pakistan and the medical student was gang raped in India we saw how women from all corners of those countried came to the streets. women old and young, students, profes sinals even women from the slums came to the street. Here it has been organized by the a few women of the UNP ?? This is indeed a shame. Where are the women politicians, students and the professionals ? Let every one join hands and send a strong message to the Govt and the police. rape should be eradicated and stern punishment should be given to those found guilty. There should be speedy trials not to drag cses for 10-15 years.

under the srilankan law the culprits will get a way with it. and the abuses against women will never reduce unless strict punishments implemented. if 5 cases per day, 1825 per year. what a shame to the country?
