I am happy that our Tamil fellow citizens conduct their religious activities peacefully in Colombo. But unfortunately, the Eelamist Tamils abroad say that there is no freedom in Sri Lanka. See, how they enjoy their freedom! The Tamil diasora always try to hoodwink the world.

This is a usual practice since the temple is established. I don t see point in relating this to FREEDOM. Very narrow thinking. Hope you know how many political prisoners are in SL without any inquiries.

Gamini, Please do understand that 99% of Tamils have no issue of Buddhist building Vihara in Jaffna or any other part where Tamils considered to be majority. The Tamils only get annoyed when the state and the armed forces who should be neutral engage in building Vihara and support Sinhala Colonizations. Get your facts right before you bark at the wrong Tree!

The idols of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Krishna, Venkateshwara, Ganesha, Laxmi and many innumerable idols are worshipped all over the world by Hindus.
No doubt it is prohibited in all holy books like Vedas, Upanishads, Talmudh, Bible and The Quran.

Well this has been happening in the country for many hundreds of years, the point is many Sinhalese fear of Hindu GOD's so they really don't make a big deal out of it. But against the minority communities its a different attitude

We are in the enlightened age of the 21st century and still believe in this unproven religious nonsense. Common sense dictates that - the real phobia lies with religion, its pathological fear of REASON,  because they know reason will evaporate all their delusions in an instance 'Reason for religion is like sunlight to a vampire”

Unfortunately most of the Tamil diaspora are only good at winging and not supporting to develop the areas of their birth place. However they are happy to give thousands of dollars to suicide bombers and recruit child soldiers. There should be some reality check!
