A land full of Buddhist statutes. That's what Buddhism means in this country, its only in statues and not in the hearts of the people who call themselves Buddhist. 2500 years of Buddhism in stone and artifacts.

Please don't involve Buddhism here. It does not teach killing or violence.

No religion preaches of killing another or taking a life. Religion has got nothing to do with this killing. The motive may be vengeance or robbery or any other. Everyone should have tolerance, which the parents should cultivate in the minds of their children at early stages.

I see some people comment about Buddhism what specific relationship this incident has to Buddhism do we know the culprit is a Buddhist ? Why other religions not been mentioned here Sri Lanka now being considered multi religious country so why only Buddhism when crime happens and multi religious in other times ? religions do not have any relation to this kind of situations even in America , India or Islamic countries crimes do happen DM should take precautions to not post comments that dis respect religions or countries history as well respected news provider that step should be taken...
