A section of the Maldivian Diaspora participated in a protest opposite the Maldivian embassy in Bambalapitiya today. The protesters carried placards in support of the ousted Maldivian President Mohomed Nasheed. There was heavy Police presence guarding the  Maldivian Embassy. Pix by Pradeep Pathiarana

Why not get involved? Any opinion against injustice and oppression should be encouraged in this world. People in this world must learn to speak up against injustice. One does not know what is actual going on in the Maldives. For all we know it could be some bi9g game politics. Remember Maldives has a majority Muslim population. The US and India are probably planning something. Nowadays it has become an accepted norm to talk or do anything against Muslims of the world.
