The Expolanka Group announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art, iconic, green, warehouse to provide value added logistics services to the group’s rapidly expanding client base.

A BOI project, this warehouse facility will be called Logistics Parks Pvt Ltd is scheduled to be operational by March 2013.

Strategically located at Avissawella Road, Orugodawatte, the Rs. 600 Mn warehouse will consist of an area of approximately 100,000 square feet.

Parallel to this, Expolanka will also construct a 20,000 sq ft state-of-the-art office complex adjacent to the warehouse in order to provide administrative and management services to the operation of the warehouse.

CEO of Expolanka Freight, Jagath Pathirane said that the primary objective of this project was to construct and operate a Warehouse Facility which is able to provide end-to-end logistics solutions to the Company’s valuable customers and to maintain its profile as a market leader and innovator in the logistics industry.

Expolanka’s new state-of-the-art Warehouse Facility is expected play a pivotal role in Sri Lanka’s logistics industry. It will aid the Group’s Logistics Sector to grow its businesses exponentially and thereby firmly establish Expolanka as a market leader in the logistics business.
