The Colombo Bourse ended trading today on a lackluster note where indices closed on a marginally negative territory.
 

ASI decreased by 2.07 points (-0.04%) to end at 5, 4355.06 and sensitive MPI declined by 17.78 points (-0.36%) to close at 4,905.79.Market turnover stood at Rs.247 mn.

 

Commercial bank Plc (Rs.24.3mn) recorded the top contributor to the daily turnover. In addition John Keells Holdings Plc (Rs.19.9mn) and Colombo Fort land & Building Plc (Rs.11.5mn) made strong contributions to the daily turnover.

 

Meanwhile heavy trading was displayed in Softlogic Capital Finance Plc, Commercial Bank Plc and Environmental Resources Plc.

 

Foreign participation stood at 16.0% of the total market activity and at the end of the day foreign investors were the net buyers with net foreign inflow of Rs.39.7mn.
