The Sri Lankan venues for the Cricket World Cup were not damaged by the prevailing weather conditions, but if the pitch for the practice match is not ready on the scheduled date, it may be shifted to one of the other World Cup venues, Tournament Director 2011 World Cup Suraj Dandeniya told Daily Mirror online

Tournament Director Dandeniya added that all Sri Lankan venues were ready for the Cricket World Cup 2011 and that it was now in the hands of the weather gods.

He also noted that the issuing of tickets that were reserved since last October will commence from tomorrow and will be available at the Sri Lanka Cricket office from 3pm to 7pm and from February 8th -17th from 11am to 7pm. (Daily Mirror online)

some of them above are talking nonsense. I think they have applied tournament director post and get rejected. For management of the tournament no need to have ckricket experience.
