31 injured in private bus accident

At least 31 persons were injured following a head-on collision involving two buses in Pahala Naragala Wedage Watta junction on the Horana - Bulathsinhala Road this evening, Police said.


One of the private buses was heading from Horana to Bulathsinhala while the other was heading to Bulathsinhala from Horana at the time the accident took place.

The injured were admitted to the Horana Base Hospital and the drivers of the two buses were among the injured. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

    Wish the concerned ministry formulate achievable time tables for all routes and have a strict control on them enforcing heavy penalties for both Private and CTB. None of these bodies are concerned on related expenses such as medical, ambulances, traffic police as they are to the government on taxpayers account
