Srilankans are ignorent and hardly aware of safety procedures. They are so lost in an emegency situations. This is why we lost so many during Tsunami as well. more than 100 rivers, 10000 lakes and tanks, ocean around the country, yet only few people know how to swim. like wise many TV channels, but none show any safety awareness programs. People are also only use to watch stupid teledrams.
