Three school boys drowned while bathing in the Nilaweli sea in Trincomalee this evening, police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said.

He said that the boys from a school in Walapane Nuwara-Eliya were swept away by a sea current while they were sea bathing.

The victims were rescued by navy divers and were immediately admitted to the Nilaweli Hospital. (SD)
