Special Representative of the Japanese government for Sri Lanka Yasushi Akashi stressed the need for Sri Lanka’s commitment to the full implementation of the LLRC report.

The Sri Lankan embassy in Japan said that ‘Akashi also stressed the importance of the strong bilateral relations between Japan and Sri Lanka and that Japan will always support and stand by Sri Lanka whenever assistance is needed.’

He made this comment during a discussion with visiting Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently vising Tokyo.

MP Rajapaksa informed Akashi of the ongoing progress in the country and the rapid development in the North East region. He also expressed the Government’s strong commitment to the people of this region with 70 percent of foreign grants and loans already being extended by the Government to the development of this region, the statement added.

LOAN = 100% DEBT (TAX PAYERS) = DEVELOPMENT + 70% COMMISSIONS AND OTHER CORRUPTIONS = ONLY 30% DEVELOPMENT and the rest 70% gone to the pockets of politicians and contractors who are their henchmen.

By talking much about LLRC, the war crimes matter is being buried under the carpet.

You are only burning oil and it is a trip without any plan and strategy by our expenses are staggering with the regime trying to gain support on their own report without implementing the UNHCR recommendations .

All have forgotten that LLRC is home made solution,Why wait for west to force us.Ronny how dare you speak like that to our noncorrupted, genuine politicians in Srilanka.

    Oxygen for the regime?

Imran Hussein Sunday, 11 March 2012 05:25 AM

You are right and the so called LLRC is not a western drafted report. Its your own bloody report so why this double standard. I think people now realise what this regime is all about. We people are in a NO WIN situation. I wonder if Namal could have a decent conversation about any damn thing.

Our brightest and best? What we have is what we have. The real brightest and best are not in this government.

    Nodrog Sunday, 11 March 2012 01:57 AM

The govt needs to realize that the rest of the world does not believe the crap they are dishing out. Time to tow the line or at least appear so.

    kaputakukula Saturday, 10 March 2012 11:18 AM

Oh! This Akashi was a dearest friend of SL once. Are the friends now turning a foe in the face of US led resolution?

    lankashantha Saturday, 10 March 2012 03:06 PM

It is shy on Sri Lanka politicians.
If they had did the correct things with out listening to the big mouths like Wimal and Sambika, our friends like Akashi won't show finger on us.

At a time when we need our brightest and best to face the situation at the UN the Govt sends Namal??? They're still not taking this seriously and ultimately it will be the general public that will face the wrath of the Int'l community!
