The Sri Lankan government said that in keeping with country’s consistent policy of recognizing democratically elected Heads of State, the unconstitutional removal of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych from office is regretted, and has aggravated the present political uncertainty in Ukraine.

While acknowledging the justifiable concerns of the Russian Federation, Sri Lanka also welcomes attempts at de-escalating the tension, the External Affairs ministry said in a statement.

“Sri Lanka is confident that the parties concerned would be able to resolve the issues arising out of the recent developments, through a legitimate democratic process, enabling harmonious co-existence of the people of Ukraine,” it added.

US, UK and their allies say Democracy must be preserved. But they supported the Terrorists to remove the Ukrainian PM who was elected in Democratically. Do they mean every democratic country should follow them. All countries who followed the West ended up bankrupt including them. What a set of clowns they are.
