PS member’s cab hits two pedestrians

A mother and her daughter were injured when they were knocked down by a cab driven by a member of Udubaddawa Pradeshiya Sabha at Atiyawala last night, police said.

The victims were admitted to the Dankotuwa hospital. One of them was transferred to the Negombo district hospital for further treatment.

The accident occurred while the victims were on their way home after visiting a temple, police said

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody. Dankotuwa police are conducting investigations.
