At the time he was only Loading & Unloading. The story should be True but how come the person incharge of Logistics was told this story ?
Nalin Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:01 AM

Rohan Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:29 AM
Yeah - but, Jaffna was under government control at that time, wasn't it?
Lankan_Boy Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:33 AM
We can see all the top positions in goverment institutions are headed by unqualified, liers. This is common for every institution including Forces. These people eat people money and become rich. This is wonder of Asia. Country is down from top to bottam. Isn't this wonder?
Roy Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:47 AM
This confirms that MR is on its way ICC Hague However he needs clearence to enter EU as of now he is barred to enter EU
banda Wednesday, 25 April 2012 06:16 AM
This guy wants to be in the news. And as usual amongst current SL leaders to talk nonsense without realising he is implicating MR.
dilshan Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:06 AM

faqi Wednesday, 25 April 2012 07:55 AM
I see there seem to be many LTTE supporting diaspora reading this paper, by the number of 'reds' to my comment. Let me say this: You all could mark it red, But you will never ever have your eelam in Sri Lanka. That is guaranteed.
Joseph Wednesday, 25 April 2012 03:24 PM
Ltte should stay in Tamil Nadu and have their Eelam and leave the SriLankans in peace
Sri Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:07 PM

faqi2 Thursday, 26 April 2012 02:37 AM

Rom Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:18 PM
Why Old stories! Move on we are done with it,
We need to know where and what stage is the LLRC and where the money is been diverted!!!!!
Calistus Jayatilleke Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:02 PM
He is just singing for his supper: he was not even the Army Commander at that time, so it is unlikely that the President called him directly instead of the then Army Commnder, General Fonseka.
Hassen Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:14 PM
Army commander,
Even you're forgotten the past, shame Where is the true commander, real patriot?
Bigfoot Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:23 PM
So it is now easy for the ICC?
Heshan Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:06 PM
is he nearing retirement age and want an extension?
dude Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:07 PM
I think the call was for SF, ur mistaken
Ananda Tuesday, 24 April 2012 05:04 PM
This is why I beleive that the best President we ever had in our country is Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse. A lot of people already have forgotten this especially bankrupted JVP. Long live our President!
semage Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:58 PM
'NIYAMAI'. Otherwise we are still going round and round. More life than the last part of the war are lost by now.
RanjithT Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:59 PM
This is a political speeh unbecoming of a so-called commander in service. Possibly aimed at undermining the role played by the General Fonseka. It also signifies the fact that the Commander in Chef has violated the line of command by giving direct orders to a JUNIOR officer. My My My.
j Tuesday, 24 April 2012 05:10 PM
Who are you at that time ? dont shine from SF's score.
roger Tuesday, 24 April 2012 05:42 PM
Sorry not following you, why did MR ask you to go ahead when you were not commanding the advancing battalions or task forces????? whats was SF doing and also if what your saying is true does that mean MR accepts any challenged for War crimes allegations
Jegath S Tuesday, 24 April 2012 04:32 PM
But now Gota admitting that there were some excesses committed by some soldiers is very un-fair. The soldiers were carriying out their command. Hence, the president & Gota should stand by them.
Michael Tuesday, 24 April 2012 06:17 PM
Are you sure that you were the Army Commander at that time ? Were you commanding any at that point.
Shalini Tuesday, 24 April 2012 05:45 PM
Thank you. We are not ungrateful to mr president
Balu Silva Tuesday, 24 April 2012 06:00 PM
You were nobody at the that time, you were only in charge of transport. If ever the president called it would have been to Gen. Sarath Fonseka and not you
faqi Tuesday, 24 April 2012 06:09 PM
Well said. If the President bowed down to international pressure the LTTE would still be active and Sri Lankan's would have to live in fear of being blown up anytime, anyplace by the LTTE Terror group. Why cannot the International community realize this and not bow down to the LTTE supporting tamil diaspora ? Thanks to the President and the Armed forces, that we have peace & security today for all who live in Sri Lanka.
Appu Tuesday, 24 April 2012 06:08 PM
What were you in charge of at that time Sir...?
anura Wednesday, 25 April 2012 03:42 AM
What he says is true. Eventually the army knew the instructions given by the commander in chief to the commander .There is no mistake and its a common norm in any hierarchy, if a junior commander eventually comes to know the instructions given to a commander from the commander in chief and misbehaves the juniors must face coutmartiall
Wara Wednesday, 25 April 2012 04:20 AM
Read the article again. He is talking about present operation going in East. Always see the negative side.
Dharmapala Wednesday, 25 April 2012 05:04 AM
DKRD
Are you mad? There is no Humanitarian Operations in the East now.He is trying to blow trumpets to MR and take away the credit due to SF
