MR is like a crab in a boiling pot: UNP

Speaking on the decision of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to re-enter into politics, UNP Spokesman Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said Mr. Rajapaksa behaves like a crab dancing in a boiling pot of water.

He said therefore, Mr. Rajapaksa is allowed to do anything he wants until the election on August 17 in which he would be defeated again by the people.
“People will show a lesson to politicians who hoodwinked them,” Minister Kariyawasam said.

He said the UNP was not concerned or worried about giving nominations to former President to contest from the UPFA.

“Mr. Rajapaksa distributed so many things as incentives to the people during the previous presidential election campaign but still people rejected him. We, on the other hand won the election by 400,000 more votes without distributing goods among people,” he said. (Piyumi Fonseka)

It looks MS is doing another summersault. It is a very good lesson for Ranil.. This is embarrassing for a former great party like UNP to come to this.

Let the people decide who is best for the majority. All have weaknesses and strengths. After all he was a crab in pot of boiling water even at the hight of the war. Thank goodness he was there for the country. Curroption so far has not been proved and unp had the chance.

Why are you so sacred? If not, please do not talk of MR. Let him do what he wants, and you can do what you want to do.

I think that statement well applies to UNP who behaved like there was no end to them, without even having won power rightly.

Can anyone of you here tell me anything that these new crabs did for the country during the past 6 months, except the talking of corruptions of the previous government which they could not prove as yet?
