MR makes appearance at Matara rally

Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa is reported to have been at today’s rally in Matara though he had not got on to the stage.

The rally was organised by UPFA members to support Mr. Rajapaksa’s nomination for the prime ministerial candidacy at the next General Election.

MPs Vinayaga Moorthy Muralidharan (Karuna Amman), Dulles Alahapperuma, Dinesh Gunawardene, Pavithra Vanniarachchi, G.L. Peiris, Western Province Chief Minister Prasanna Ranatunga and Uva provincial councillor Shashindra Rajapaksa had been on the stage.
