That means it is raining to Haputale. Our people must educate these forigners that they should not walk on the road when lightning as Haputale is one of our highest points in SL.

Lightning too has a habit of striking at the wrong places at wrong people when there are so many politicians who rape and pillage deserve a bolt of lightning for a change.

How come the learned people in the Met. Dept. did not issue a warning?
Paddy Fernando Sunday, 07 October 2012 09:26 AM
Calistus, don't you have anything else to do except sitting in front of the computer and writing to every web page on the internet cursing people? Find a job please!

For kind information of Paddy Fernando: I have a job and very busy in doing it. But I always find some time to vent my feelings especially when I see stupid remarks by morons.

Paddy we live in a 'free society'. So anyone, I repeat anyone is allowed to air their independent views here. Who are you to decide, who writes what? Who appointed you the news arbitrator or the news ombudsman? Calistus has every right as the next person to air his views on any subject. Its left to the reader to agree or disagree with what he writes but one cannot shut him up as you wish.

Thank you for that gem of information, perhaps it was just an electrical storm and not raining ? Anyway I am sure they will put a sign up at the airport to tell us dumb foreigners not to walk on roads when it rains on high ground just in case a bit of lightning should Strike.
Am I to assume every Sri Lankan who is on high ground does not go on the roads, does lightning here only strike on roads & if so are we ok if we run instead of walk ?
I think it maybe you who needs educating so you do not make silly comments ?
