JVP MP Sunil Handunetthi said that he was willing testify in court if he were summoned but stated that he would not respond to “crazy ramblings” of Parliamentarian Arundika Fenrnando.

“I don’t understand how these people can talk crazy like this and then expect us to respond to them. I am ready to testify in court if I were summoned,” he said.

Handunetthi speaking to the Daily Mirror today denied all claims made by UPFA Parliamentarian Arundika Fernando in court yesterday. He said that the attempt to drag his name into the controversy could be a “part of a much larger conspiracy”.

“I don’t understand why my name was brought into this. Arundika Fernando had said various things in the past regarding the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda and now it has come to this. This seems to be a part of a much larger conspiracy which must be looked into,” he said.

Speaking further, Handunetthi said that the statement made by MP Fernando to the effect that Handunetthi had told him that the missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda was residing in Belgium was an attempt of the government to suppress the atrocities committed to journalists.

“I never made such a statement, nor did I tell him anything to that effect. I don’t know how all of this came about. I deny everything,” he said. ( Hafeel Farisz)

Arundika Fernando has once again proved what a big liar he is with his latest mischief. This type of MPs are a very big asset to the ruling UPFA to get their dirty work done as this MP had shown what a low-bred one he is with the way he organised the signing of the Motion against chief justice Shirani. Recently he was also on the spotlight for welcoming at the courts, the provincial council MP who got a teacher to kneel down in the school. If this is not scum of the earth, then who else?
