Fully geared to receive more training-Army

Army Commander Jagath Jayasuriya, who is currently visiting China, said that Sri Lanka armed forces are now fully geared to receive more and more training opportunities in peacetime Sri Lanka.

The army chief made this comment during his visit to the National Defence University (NDU) in China, the Army Headquarters in its website said.

Lt. Gen. Jayasuriya, “…urged NDU authorities to explore possibilities of expanding the allocation quota for Sri Lankan military intakes since the Sri Lankan armed forces are now fully geared to receive more and more training opportunities in peacetime Sri Lanka.”

    Yes yes training much needed for Drainage Cleaning, Turfing on Ground & Road Sides as well as old government building repairs etc. But actually arm training is not at all necessary for them nowadays.
