Referring to the religion-focused comments made by Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad following the third ODI, Tillakaratne Dilshan said he thought little of the exchange at the time and would not consider lodging a complaint.

"I don't even remember what I said to him," Dilshan said. "I have no issues at all. I was just quite happy with the win at the time."

Footage of the teams exiting the field after Sri Lanka's series win supposedly shows Shehzad talking to Dilshan on a matter of religion. Dilshan's reply is inaudible, but Shehzad again allegedly delivers another similar comment before the two part ways and head toward their dressing rooms.

The PCB was made aware of the exchange after a journalist brought it to their notice, when the footage went viral in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

When the board summoned Shehzad for an explanation on Wednesday, he had said he came to know of Dilshan's religious background during the match, and simply sought a light-hearted discussion. Shehzad said the video only showed part of their exchange, and that he had not wished to offend Dilshan.

Nevertheless, the PCB had set up an inquiry under director of international cricket Zakir Khan. As there have been no complaints, the board did not find a contract or code of ethics breach in Shehzad'sbehaviour, but warned the batsman not to engage in religious exchanges in future. (Cricinfo)

AMAZING TIME TO TELL THE TRUTH .
Keep his truth to you and friends. your truth has done a hell of things in the world..

Bravo to Dilshan for rising above pity and small things and taking it lightly and not making any complaints. I hope Shezad learns a lesson and learn to respect others and their judgement.

Let not humans try to do God's work as our wisdom is not a match for Gods. Let God judge who will end in Heaven. Anyone who believe someone is lesser than him(Infidel) is an Infidel himself.
If one believes that all things are created by God, then Shezad's "Belief" and Dilshan's "Belief" both are creations of God. Hence, honour what God has created and let him be the supreme Judge of all things. Do not try to Impose ones beliefs/Thoughts/Truths on other humans.

Ali my friend; after hearing your beliefs, I (and I am sure many others too); would be happy to continue to follow our own way to Heaven/Nirvana. Hope to see you in Heaven because I am sure that I too follow the correct way to Heaven.

Guys what will happen if Dilly ask Shehzad to become a Buddhist. Then the next day all Muslim extremists will protest against Dilly in all over the world.
Also he will be a target of Jihad or Al Qaeda.

    Ali Saturday, 06 September 2014 05:59 PM

    Dear All,
Ahmed Shezad Told is accurate. But you all including journalists understood wrong. The meaning what he told is.
"THE BIGGEST SIN IS TO FORGET THE "CREATOR"and WORSHIP to "CREATIONS " So if any body Worship CREATIONS (Idols,Stones, Trees, Animals, Sun, Moon, Statutes) They Will Go to FIRE that Mean to HELL so what he mentioned by FIRE mean HELL.and that is 100% TRUE.
Just think Ahmed Shezad Will not Gain anything whether DILSHAN come back to ISLAM or Not. but he Convey the Truth. So if any body Worship CREATOR That THERE IS ONLY ONE (1) GOD then The CREATOR Allah will forgive all of his PREVIOUS SINS.

DEAR FRIENDS THIS WORLD AND ALL OF ITS ARE TEMPORARY SO WE CAN'T LIVE AS WE WANT AND EXPECT BETTER THINGS AFTER OUR DEATH.
SO PLS STOP WORSHIPNG IDOLS BCZ THOSE CANNOT FULFILL YOUR ANY NEEDS.STOP DRINKING ALCOHOL .STOP USING BAD WORDS.STOP ALL OF SINS.SAVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FROM FIRE(HELL)

    Sammy Saturday, 06 September 2014 05:45 PM

Don't worry Dilshan, better not go to the "heaven" these fanatics are going to end up in.

    Gamarala Saturday, 06 September 2014 03:41 PM

Pakistan has always been a theocracy controlled country. They are mostly fanatics. Its a failed state. I am surprised that they still play cricket and the game is not banned by the mullahs.

upul perera Saturday, 06 September 2014 03:21 PM

This is ,I think storm in a teacup, Dilshan was right to ignore it.
May be some trying to set either the countries or the religons against one another. Leave sports alone from politics.

Ranjith Silvalva Saturday, 06 September 2014 02:08 PM

Thank you Dilshan for showing the kind of heart you have. I love cricket because of you after Sanaa. Keep your spirit and sportsmanship. Good day.

    Smarty Saturday, 06 September 2014 01:53 AM

Well said Dilly, this is why they do not play cricket in Pakistan, Looks like the fanatics have got into the game now and moving their fanaticism into international arenas.

    VIRANI Saturday, 06 September 2014 11:11 AM

POOR FELLOWS HAVE NOTHING TO DO THATS WHY START PREACHING THEY SHOULD BE KICKED OUT OF THE GAME AND INSTEAD SHOULD SEND THEM TO WAR AGAINST EXTREMIST.

Calistus Jayatilleke Saturday, 06 September 2014 10:30 AM

These brain-washed fanatics do not even realize that there is a place and time for everything and they should keep matters of religion away from sporting engagements.

    malij Saturday, 06 September 2014 10:01 AM

BBS is correct in their thinking.

    malij Saturday, 06 September 2014 09:56 AM

If one of our players had gone to Pakistan and done the same thing, you could imagine the uproar.
If Shezad had come to play cricket, he should play cricket, and go home.

    Jaya Saturday, 06 September 2014 09:20 AM

Well done at that's the Sri Lankan Spirit and freedom..

    Waco Saturday, 06 September 2014 07:41 AM

    Dilshan you are right.

    mnsmart Saturday, 06 September 2014 04:54 AM

They should talk Cricket in the field & nothing else. at the same time media too should not magnify simple things.

Dalu Banda Saturday, 06 September 2014 04:23 AM

This was a friendly discussion between two friendly players representing two friendly countries. Fanatics should not involve in this fair at all to spoil the prevailing friendly atmosphere.

    Appuhami Saturday, 06 September 2014 04:05 AM

Telling that someone would go to HELL is a joke to you!!!

    ya Saturday, 06 September 2014 03:52 AM

This is the same mentality that all extremist believe.

    Jamalji Saturday, 06 September 2014 02:40 AM
