Speculation is rife that UNP Kurunegala District MP Dayasiri Jayasekera is to cross over to the government today. UNP sources said that MP Jayasekera had reportedly met President Mahinda Rajapaksa and discussed the impending cross over.

Political sources said that MP Jayasekera was likely to resign from his seat shortly to contest the North Western Provincial Council elections on the UPFA ticket.

All should leave the most unpopular leader of the UNP glued to his chair by force, all alone and form a alternative force to fight the crazy Jokers ruining the Country. Joining the Jokers will help destroy the Country faster.

Those who cross over are the traitors not only for the party but also the people they re- presents.

What will be the fate of the former CM?

These people just cross over and grab the posts, whilst people who worked hard for the sake of the party and people have to sacrifice everything and remain empty handed.

Muheed Jeeran Wednesday, 24 July 2013 05:09 AM

Most of the Sri Lankan politicians does not have political principle. Sri Lankan people are very unfortunate. These politicians are shouting that there is no rule of law and corrupt regime then next day they join the regime. So Is this regime corrupt or figure of speech from the opposition politicians. If this politician's intention is ro work for people and not happy with the leadership then he could have move to another opposition party. It is an ego fight to prove who is the boss in Kurunagela.

mohamed asfar Wednesday, 24 July 2013 05:10 AM

Just quit instead of embracing those whom he criticised day and night. Then people will respect you for being a principled person than a power hungry one.

Rubert Vanderkoon Wednesday, 24 July 2013 05:32 AM

A weak poliician, should never be made the chief minister. The only service he has done to anybody is getting a job for his brother at a reality contest on a TV channel.
