Then for what purpose you are importing BTI?
xlntgson Tuesday, 17 August 2010 11:04 AM
Introduce bacteria in drinking water pools haphazardly and create a superbug!
Suba Monday, 16 August 2010 06:32 PM
Dr. Mervyn is the only solution!
Maruwa Monday, 16 August 2010 03:48 PM
So when are you going to find a solution?
jac Monday, 16 August 2010 12:31 PM
If we use BTI we can eradicate all the mosquito problem, but officers are not in favoru, Coil manufacture are very powerful in Sri Lanka , this is the real situation
Health Minister Monday, 16 August 2010 10:39 AM
A team from a Pradeshiya Sabha who inspected houses for dengue mosquitoes has threatened the owner of a house with severe legal action after having found one coconut shell in his garden filled with water. But huge garbage dumps have been allowed and no actions taken against those responsible for such mosquito breeding grounds.

Its seems someone has pocketed BTI project money....!!!....
Shanil Samarakoon Monday, 16 August 2010 10:33 AM
Wow. Cops who don't need cameras and now a leader stating the obvious. Was the need for cleanliness not apparent? There's just no individual accountability and enforcement of these practices.
What a waste of time stating the obvious. We need a holistic approach not "1" solution.

If it is not a solution , Find a propper solution before it is late

Don't just preach minister. Stop preaching and just do it. We want ministers with action and not preaching.
Sara Monday, 16 August 2010 09:55 AM
Minister, first of all introduce garbage collection systems for each and every area.
Then the surrounding will keep clean
malkanthi Monday, 16 August 2010 09:41 AM
well said bluff, every issue in sri lanka is swept under the carpet, it is stinking underneath, while look nice outside. This is the present scenario in this land.
Bluff Bluff Monday, 16 August 2010 09:22 AM
Mr. Minister, Go to Maharagama and look at the huge garbage dump opposite Arpico Mall. Now you cant see the garbage dump from outside as the Mayoress has decided to cover the garbage with a cover of nice Amano sheets, may be to drive dengu mosquitoes away. But inside those lovely Amano walls lie huge stinking garbage which produce millions of dengu mosquitoes daily. So why don't you go and give the same preaching to your mayoress of Maharagama?
Dammalage Monday, 16 August 2010 08:39 AM
S.I.T is the permenent solution aginst Dengue.
Ibnu Batuta Monday, 16 August 2010 08:33 AM
So the much awaited and publicized BTI finally is not coming. Is that what you want to say Mr. Acting Minister...?
Jagath Monday, 16 August 2010 08:15 AM
Instead of tellng the residents to keep the surroundings clean the CMC should do their part first by keeping the citiy free of garbage. Take action to clean the garbage daily . It is the job of the CMC & other city councils.
Saradial Monday, 16 August 2010 08:15 AM
Yes you are correct even though if BTI is solution for Dengue we should keep our surrounding clean. Where is our environment minister? Ask him to take proper action.
