Woman killed, mother injured in shooting

A 22-year-old woman was killed and her mother was injured when they were shot at by a gunman at Dorawaka in Warakapola this morning, police said.

They said the gunman had opened fire at the victims at their residence at around 5.30 a.m today.

The woman has succumbed to injuries prior to being hospitalized while her mother was admitted to the Warakapola Hospital.

No arrest has been made so far.

    This is isolated incident and most probably a personal dispute .so nothing in relation with national security..you can't keep policemen on each and every doorstep..
